kidult @ kubrick tiny concert -  2 April 2005

Plop - a simple yet powerful note - a Japanese Label equivalent to Laptop Electronica, IDM and organic experimental music. The color "blue" best expresses their taste of music - clean, natural, pure and tender.

You put a piece of Plop CD into a CD-player...
Childish, innocent, kidult, playful...the very 1st impression;
Mature, experimental, expressive, profound...the very true inner nature.
Just like an Original Sound Track that doesn't mean for any movie.
A landscape of wonderland, painted with musical notes.
A childhood dream full of colors.

Cédric Maridet [a.k.a. transit] b. 1973, France. Based in Hong Kong since 1999. After many years of ˇ§bricolageˇ¨ with [non / ] moving images and sounds, he is now focusing on sonic creations. His work relies on series of transformations of field recordings and computer-generated sounds. His compositions are explorations into immersive transient auditory spaces, where the faculty of sight is brought out the listening ear.
He founded the HK label monème in June 2004, and released the same year M001, a compilation of electronica artists from Hong Kong, London and Paris.
He also forms with Sylvain Holtermann the duo Symposium 4H.

Sylvain Holtermann (a.k.a. monosite), a French laptop artist based in Hong Kong has spent years in the field of photograpy before turning to sound design in the early 2000. In his computer based sound pieces, melodic sequences and fragments are generated through a deconstrustive/reconstructive process to form improbable and subtle sonic images.
He forms the duo Symposium 4H with his counterpart Cédric Maridet.
His solo and and group work appears on the HK label monème.
